How to read .ai (Adobe Illustrator) file w/o Illustrator
If you ran to .ai file which is Adobe Illustrator file, and you do not have Illustrator installed anywhere near, try this:
- Download and install latest Ghostscript package
- Download and install latest XnView
- Use XnView to open .ai file and to save it as other (more common) image format
That should do the trick (it did for me).
